Who We Are

These terms govern your use of pro-fyle.co.uk and the Profyle headshot service. By placing an order, you agree to these terms.

The Service

Profyle generates professional-quality headshots from selfies you upload. Standard delivery target is two hours from the moment we receive your usable selfie set. We offer three tiers:

Standard — £29. 40 headshots, 3 background styles, 24-hour delivery target, basic retouching.

Professional — £39. 80 headshots, 5 background styles, 4-hour delivery target, Likeness Guarantee, advanced retouching, multiple poses.

Premium — £49. 120 headshots, 8+ background styles, 1-2 hour priority delivery, Likeness Guarantee, priority support, multiple backgrounds, team/bulk options.

Prices are inclusive of VAT where applicable. We are below the VAT registration threshold at the time of writing.

The Likeness Guarantee (Professional and Premium)

If your headshots don't look like you, we'll redo them once at no extra cost. If you're still not happy after the redo, you get a full refund. The Likeness Guarantee depends on you uploading 10–15 selfies that meet the upload guidance: clear face, varied angles, natural lighting, no heavy filters, no sunglasses or hats covering most of the face. We can't guarantee likeness if the source material doesn't allow accurate matching.

Placing an Order

When you click a "Get Started" or "Buy Now" button you're taken to a Stripe Checkout page. Once you complete payment you'll receive an order confirmation email with a unique upload link. You then upload your selfies and we generate your headshots. Your order is a contract between you and Reader Digital Ltd, formed when we email your confirmation.

Consumer Rights, Cooling-off, and Digital Content

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you normally have 14 days to cancel a digital service for a full refund.

Important: because Profyle starts processing your selfies immediately on upload, by uploading you waive your 14-day right of cancellation for the digital content already produced. We tell you this before you upload, you tick a consent box to confirm, and we keep that record. This is a standard digital-goods exception and matches Stripe's, Spotify's, and Adobe's terms.

You retain all the rights below regardless: refund for non-delivery, refund under the Likeness Guarantee where applicable, and statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 (the service must be performed with reasonable care and skill).

Refunds

We refund in full when: you cancel before uploading any selfies; the Likeness Guarantee applies and the redo doesn't satisfy you; we fail to deliver within 24 hours of receiving your usable selfies (Standard) or your tier's stated target window (with reasonable buffer for technical issues); our service is materially defective.

Refunds go back to the original payment method within 5–10 business days.

Your Obligations

You agree: the selfies you upload are of yourself (or someone whose explicit, informed consent you have); you will not upload images of children under 18 (the service is not designed for under-18s); you won't use Profyle to impersonate someone, create misleading documents, or for any unlawful purpose; you won't reverse-engineer, scrape, or attempt to extract our generation pipelines.

We can refuse or cancel an order if we reasonably suspect any breach.

Intellectual Property

The generated headshots become your property to use however you wish — LinkedIn, CV, company website, social media, print, anywhere. We retain ownership of the underlying technology, the website, the brand, and any aggregated, anonymised data we use to improve quality.

Delivery

We send delivery emails to the address used at checkout. Files remain accessible via the delivery link for 90 days. Save them locally — we delete originals after 30 days and delivery files after 12 months for storage management.

Liability

We don't exclude or limit our liability where it's unlawful to do so (e.g. death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, breaches of your statutory consumer rights). Subject to that, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the relevant order. We aren't liable for: lost profits, lost business, or lost opportunity; indirect or consequential losses; issues caused by third-party platforms (Stripe, your email provider, your social network).

Service Changes and Availability

We aim for high availability but don't guarantee uninterrupted service. We may update, change, or withdraw features with reasonable notice. Material changes that affect existing customers will be notified by email.

Privacy and Biometric Data

How we handle your data is set out in our Privacy Policy. In short: explicit consent for biometric processing, originals deleted within 30 days, no use of your data for AI training. ICO registration C1906880.

Complaints

Email [email protected] with "Complaint" in the subject. We respond within 5 business days. If we can't resolve it, you can escalate to Trading Standards via Citizens Advice (0808 223 1133) or to the Information Commissioner's Office for privacy issues (ico.org.uk).

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except that as a consumer you may bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence within the EU/UK.

Other

If any part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest still applies. We may transfer our rights and obligations to another business without affecting yours. We won't usually accept third parties claiming benefit under these terms (Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 excluded).
