Cookie Policy
How Profyle uses cookies and similar technologies on our website.
What Cookies Are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by the websites you visit. They let a site remember your actions and preferences (consent choices, login state, language) over a period of time. Some cookies are set by us (first-party). Others are set by third parties we work with (third-party cookies, e.g. Google Analytics).
Cookie Categories We Use
We group cookies into three categories. The first is always on. The other two only run with your consent.
A) Strictly Necessary (always on)
These make the site work. We don't ask for consent because the site can't function without them.
profyle_consent_v1 — Remembers your cookie consent choices. Set by Profyle. Lasts 12 months.
__cf_bm, __cflb, cf_clearance — Cloudflare bot protection and load balancing. Set by Cloudflare. Lasts 30 minutes to 1 year.
__stripe_mid, __stripe_sid — Allow secure payment processing. Set by Stripe. Lasts up to 1 year.
Framer hosting cookies — Site delivery. Set by Framer. Session.
B) Analytics (consent required)
Help us understand which pages people use, how they got there, and where the journey breaks. We can't see who you are individually.
_ga, _ga_* — Google Analytics 4 anonymous session tracking. Set by Google. Lasts up to 2 years.
_gid — Google Analytics 4 anonymous user counting. Set by Google. Lasts 24 hours.
We anonymise IP addresses on collection and don't share data with Google for advertising signals when only Analytics consent is given.
C) Marketing (consent required)
Measure how well our adverts work and let us show you relevant ads on Google.
_gcl_au, _gcl_aw — Google Ads conversion tracking. Set by Google. Lasts 90 days.
IDE, test_cookie — Google advertising network. Set by Google. Lasts up to 13 months.
We do not currently set Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel, or LinkedIn Insight cookies. If we add those in future, they will appear here first and will only fire with your renewed consent.
How We Ask for Your Consent
The first time you visit pro-fyle.co.uk you'll see a cookie banner with three options: Accept all (analytics and marketing turned on), Reject all (only the strictly necessary cookies), or Customise (choose analytics and marketing independently).
We use Google Consent Mode v2, which means our analytics and ads tags know about your choice and behave accordingly. If you reject, no analytics or marketing cookies are set, and our advertising tags receive only anonymous, aggregated signals.
Changing Your Mind
You can change your cookie settings at any time by clicking the Cookie preferences link in the footer of any page. This clears your saved choice and re-shows the banner. You can also clear the profyle_consent_v1 entry from your browser storage for pro-fyle.co.uk.
You can block or delete cookies entirely via your browser settings (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge all support this). Blocking strictly necessary cookies will likely break parts of the site, notably Stripe Checkout.
Do Not Track Signals
Most browsers no longer support a meaningful Do Not Track signal, so we treat the absence of explicit consent as a refusal.
Changes to This Policy
We update this page when we add, remove, or change cookies. The "Last updated" date tells you when.
